Privacy and cookies

In short: this site doesn't track you, and we only keep what you send us.

Cookies

This site uses no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. It uses only what it needs to work:

• A session cookie on the contact page, so the form can show your message again if something needs correcting, and to protect it from forged submissions. It's deleted when you close your browser.
• Cloudflare Turnstile on the contact page, which checks that you're a person rather than a spam robot, usually without you having to do anything. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Your browser remembers that you've seen the cookie notice, so it isn't shown again.

As these are all needed for the site to work, there's nothing to opt into or out of.

What we keep

• Messages sent through the contact form come to us by email, with your name and email address so we can reply.
• Purchases: your name and email address, which are part of your licence key, so we can send it again if you lose it. Payment details are handled by the payment provider; we never see your card details.
• The web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, pages requested, browser) for security, for 30 days.

We never sell or share your details, and don't send marketing emails.

The app

Notabene3 itself doesn't send anything about you or your playing anywhere. Its log file stays on your computer unless you choose to email it to us. It checks this site for a newer version, which you can turn off in its Settings.
